Abstract
Cyclamate is an artificial sweetener food additives that provide a sweet taste and if consumed continuously for a long time will cause cancer. Cyclamate is generally available in the form of salt, Na-cyclamate. Additional drinks for food products. This study discusses approving, determining Na-Cyclamate levels in ice drinks accompanied by Na-Cyclamate levels meeting BPOM requirements. The sample used was 6 types of drinks sold in the Mojosongo region of Surakarta. Na-cyclamate analysis was performed with a qualitative test that is precipitation and quantitative test of Na-cyclamate was performed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 269 nm The results of this test showed three positive samples containing cyclamate. The sample levels obtained by sample C were 0.082 mg / L; sample D was 0.084 mg / L; and sample F of 0.081 mg / L. These results indicate that cyclamate reserves still meet the requirements determined by PerKa BPOM RI No.4 of 2014 Keywords: Street ice drinks, Na-cyclamate, UV-Vis spectrophotometry
