Abstract
Antioxidants are electron-givers or reductase compounds. This Research aims to determine the antioxidant activity of Gedi leaf extract, and to find out the formulation of suction tablets from a variety of plants Methods used based on the combination of experimental studies laboratory is using the Maceration method for the extraction of gedi leaves using ethanol solvent 96%, and based on a literature study of various journals on the formulation of suction tablets of various plants with the method of wet granulation and Gedi leaf as an antioxidant using the DPPH method (1.1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) Results of review data of the journal regarding the antioxidant activity of Gedi leaf extract by the DPPH method of Pine research Results (2015) Gedi leaf extract derived from Palu has optimal antioxidant activity with a value IC50 of 575 ppm compared to Makassar and Gorontalo, the results of the study of Dewantara (2017) Gedi leaf extract derived from the village of Songan having strong antioxidant activity with the value IC50 of gedi leaf ethanol extract amounted to 31.29 ppm, this condition is thought to be due to different environmental factors, so that the resulting metabolites are also different. The test result of a suction tablet formulation of several plant extracts qualifies the physical properties of the tablet, so some plant extracts can be made as a suction tablet.
