Abstract

An incision wound is a wound caused by a sharp-pointed tool that occurs with a mild pressure and scratches on the body's surface. Kirinyuh leaf extract has a compound content of flavonoids, tannins, and saponins that can help the healing of incision wounds. The purpose of this research, to know the extract of the ethanol leaves can be made in the form of a good spray gel dosage, have wound healing activity, and to fin out the effective concentration on the dosage as the healing of incision wounds. Kirinyuh leaf extract is made by maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent. Kirinyuh leaf extract is made with concentrations of 7.5%, 10%, 12.5%. A kirinyuh leaf extract gel is performed in physical quality and stability tests. Testing the activity of wound healing incision is done on the backs of New Zealand rabbits that are divided into 5 groups. Group I (kirinyuh leaf extract 7.5%), group II (10% kirinyuh leaf extract, group III (kirinyuh leaf extract 12.5%), group IV (negative control), group V (Control positive). The Parameter used is a percent closure of an incision wound until closing. Data results are then analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that all spray gel preparations had physical quality, good stability and all the formulas had a wound healing activity on the back of the New Zealand Rabbit. Spray gel extract of kirinyuh leaf ethanol is 10% effective in the wound healing of the incision due to the smallest concentration indicating the healing of the incision wound that is almost equal to positive control of 93.74%.
