Abstract
Myricetin is a flavonoid compound with various activities, one of which is a natural antioxidant. Myricetin has small water solubility (16.60 µg / mL) and very low bioavailability about 10%, and low absorption so that myricetin distribution in oral and dermal dosage forms is limited. This study aims to determine myricetin serum can be made that meets the physical quality test of the preparation and determine the serum formula myricetin that is stable during the storage process with a variety of concentrations of sodium gluconate. Formulated in the form of facial serum with varying concentrations of sodium gluconate in formula 0,1%, formula 0,2%, and formula 0,3%. Furthermore, myrisetin serum was tested for characterization of serum preparations including physical quality tests namely organoleptic tests, pH tests, viscosity tests and storage stability tests. In this study the results show that myrisetin can be made as a serum preparation with physical quality test results including organoleptic test consistency of slightly thick, brownish yellow color and characteristic of myrisetin. Serum preparations for viscosity and pH testing meet the requirements. Physical stability test is unstable on storage. Testing the antioxidant activity of myrisetin, showed that the IC50 value was 6.93 ppm. Keywords : Myricetin, Serum, sodium gluconate
