Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is an inflammatory pulmonary disease characterized by airflow resistance due to pulmonary inflammatory response, a leading cause of the 5th death in the world. COPD diseases can be prevented and treated, common therapies for COPD patients include bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory, mucolytic, antitussive, and antibiotics. The purpose of this research is to know the pattern of treatment of COPD patients in the hospital care of Panti Waluyo Surakarta and to know the conformity of the doses of COPD drug prescribed against the formulation of hospital Panti Waluyo Surakarta and the management of the Indonesian Lung Association in the period of January 2019-June 2019. The method used in this research is descriptive with retrospective data retrieval. The Data is a medical record of COPD patients in the outpatient pharmacy installation at Panti Waluyo Hospital in Surakarta period in January 2019-June 2019. The results showed that the most afflicted COPD was patients with male gender with a percentage of 67.13%, the age of patients who were most > 65 years with a percentage of 53.85%. Percentage of the therapeutic grade of mucolytic and antioxidant 66.78%; Bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroids 59.80%; Inhaled bronchodilator 53.85%; Oral bronchodilators 47.55%; Bronchodilators and oral corticosteroids 38.81%; Antitussive 6.64%; Antibiotics 28.32%. Suitability dose CPOD drugs with the formulation of hospital Panti Waluyo Surakarta and the management of PDPI is suitable for 100%.
