Abstract

Herbal plants are used as traditional medicine, Pharmacological research shows that flavonoid compounds have a function as a natural anti-oxidant and it is necessary to make a practical preparation for use, one of which is syrup. The purpose of this research was to determine the syrup formulas for plant extracts containing flavonoids that meet the quality evaluation syrup physical and stability based on literature studies Writing this review uses a systematic review method by collecting various sources of literature from several journal libraries from trusted sites. There are 5 journals regarding formulations, how to make it to evaluate the stability test of syrup preparations and 5 journals on the phytochemical test of flavonoid compounds The syrup formulation that meets the evaluation of physical quality and stability is the extract syrup formula curcuma xanthorriza and hibesius rosa sinesis L.The addition of CMC-Na concentration has an effect on physical quality and stability of plant extract syrups containing flavonoids hat is, the higher the CMC-Na concentration is added, the higher the viscosity of the syrup preparation Keywords: CMC-Na, syrup formulation , syrup stability
