Abstract

Hypertension or blood pressure levels are systolic pressure more than 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure more than 90 mmHg. Hypertension is a multifactorial disease cause by various factor interaction. Increased age will cause some physiological changes, in the elderly there is an increase in peripheral resistance and sympathetic activity. The blood pressure will increase after 45-55 years, the elastic-walled vessels will be thickened by the accumulation of collagen substances in the muscle layer, so the blood vessels will gradually narrow to become stiff. The Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) is developed by BPJS which has chronic diseases, especially hypertension, which is implemented in an integrated manner by involving participants, family doctors / clinic, hospitals, drug store and health laboratories in order to maintain health to achieve optimal and independent quality of life. The analysis that is used is Bivariate Analysis. Bivariate analysis was done to prove the research hypothesis that is seen there is relationship of elderly gymnastics to blood pressure in elderly hypertension in Kratonan clinic. Intake of data done before gymnastics and after gymnastics elderly every time this elderly gymnastic activity is done. The results of this study have not shown the result that gymnastics activity for 2 weeks has not affected for blood pressure due to limited timeframe.
