Abstract

The corona virus that became pandemic in 2020 known as covid-19 is not a new virus, but is still one family with the SARS virus. Therapeutic target proteins from covid-19 have been identified as therapeutic targets such as Plpro and 3Clpro. The use of herbs is an alternative for treatment such as the compound content of ginger and sambiloto as an antiviral. This study aims to find the potential for ginger and sambiloto compounds to interact with therapeutic target proteins from corona, and evaluate the pharmacokinetic parameters of selected compounds. Using the molecular docking method with autodock software with the 17 test ligand from ginger compounds and 16 sambiloto compounds. Results are selected by evaluating the lowest binding energy and num in clus. The selected compound was continued by observing the ligand-protein interaction using Discovery and then the compound was predicted the pharmacokinetic with ADMETLab. The results of the docking process found that compounds from ginger and sambiloto had interactions with the 3Clpro target protein which similar to the original ligands, while in Plpro the similar interactions to the best native ligands is compounds from sambiloto, for pharmacokinetic prediction results from selected compounds found mixed results but the best compounds were selected were 1-Dehydro-6-gingerdione and Neoandrographolide. This prediction needs to be tested directly to see its true potential. Keyword : Covid-19, ginger, sambiloto, docking
