Abstract
Myrisetin is a class of flavones that have antioxidant effects. Myricetin has a very low sistemic bioavailability of 10-44% and low water solubility. The preparation of nanophytosomes can increase the bioavability and efficacy of drugs. Gel is a semisolid preparation that contains a lot of water and has better drug delivery when compared to ointments. The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity of each gel formula against the use of various concentrations of HPMC and carbopol and the physical stability of the gel. Myricetin phytosome gel formula was made with variations of carbopol and HPMC of 0.5%; 1.0%; 1.5% as a gelling agent. The gel preparation was then tested for its physical stability which included organoleptic test, pH, viscosity, homogeneity, stability, adhesion test, spreadability test, and antioxidant activity using the DPPH method. The data obtained were analyzed using one way ANOVA. The results showed that all myricetin nanophytosome gel formulas had good specific quality. The higher the carbopol concentration results in higher viscosity and adhesion values, but the smaller the dispersion power. The IC50 value of pure myricetin was 17.34 ppm and the value of myricetin nanophytosomes was 14.64 ppm. The results of the nanophytosome antioxidant activity test in the gel showed the IC50 formula 1, 2, 3, and negatif kontrol respectively 19.09 ppm; 18.08 ppm; 16.87 ppm; and 211.23 ppm. The test results showed that formula 3 gel was the gel with the highest antioxidant activity. Keywords: Myricetin, Nanophytosomes, Gel, Antioxidant, DPPH.
