Abstract

Honey is a natural ingredient that has been beneficial to humans since ancient times until now. Honey has the potential to inhibit the activity of various types of bacteria, both Gram-positive and Gram-positive bacteria. The purpose of this literature study was to analyze the honey bees has the potential as an antibacterial that causes diarrhea. The research design used in this literature study is a systematic review with qualitative techniques (meta-synthesis), the inclusion criteria used include, research articles conducted in vitro, honey against diarrhea-causing bacteria, open access, and full text. The results of research on honey that have the potential as antibacterial to cause diarrhea include Makassar forest honey, Ile-ife, Ede, forest, siddar, small, big, ulmo, manuka, sicilian, poliflora, stingless bees, yellow, white. The content of compounds that function as antibacterial flavonoids. Keywords: Antibacterial, Diarrhea, Escherichia coli, Honey, Salmonella.
