Abstract

Literature review related to pineapple (Ananas comosus L.) used as an antibacterial. This study aims to determine that pineapple peel is able to inhibit antibacterial, knowing that the concentration of the extract can affect the inhibition zone formed, and knowing various formulas made from pineapple plants. This research was conducted in a non-experimental manner using research journals published on Google Scholar and Microsoft academic between 2010-2020 using 8 journals selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of literature studies from several research journals show that pineapple peel extract has antibacterial activity in the form of bromealin enzymes, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and steroids. And pineapple plants can be made into mouthwash formulations, liquid soap, and hand sanitizers Keywords: Annonaceae, Ananas comosus, Handsanitizer, Mouthwash, Liquid soap, Antibacterial activity, Pineapple plant formulation
