Abstract
Dengue is an acute febrile illnes caused by infection of one or more serotypes of dengue virus. Hematologic examination is part of laboratory examination group consisting of sevral kinds of examination such as hemoglobin, leukocyte, erythrocytes, platelets, blood sedimentation rate (ESR), peripheral blood clearance, hematocrit, reticulocyte, and hemostasis examination. Laboratories in the city have been using automated methods for hematocrit examination, in emrgency hematocrit can be obtained with the calculation of hemoglobin multiplied by three. Based on the background above, the researcher is interested to do this research, it is hoped this research can assist the laboratory examination that has not use automatic method. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of hematocrit examination result with automatic method and calculation in dengue fever patient. Population and sample of this study is data of dengue fever patients who checks routine blood tests in RSDM clinical pathology laboratory in Surakarta in july 2017. The type of research used is observational analytics with cross sectional method. Normality test using Shaphiro-Wilk the tested by paired sample t-test. Pursuant to result of analysis got by test of normality data with meaning that value data spreading hematocrit automatic and calculation method at patient fever of dengue have normal data so that can to t-test paired sample analyses. Is got by result of from test of paired t-test sample with value of probability (p) 0,037 < 0,05, its meaning that mean result of inspection of determined hematocrit with automatic method and calculation there is difference have a meaning.
