Abstract
Clavicle fracture is a break in the structural continuity of the clavicle. Infections due to surgery differ according to the type of surgery. The class of prophylactic antibiotics used by patients with clavicle fracture surgery at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta in 2020 is a group of 1st generation cephalosporins, namely cefazolin. The purpose of this study was to determine the reasons for the use of prophylactic antibiotics in patients with clavicle fracture surgery at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Moewardi Surakarta in 2020. The method used is retrospective with purposive sampling method according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data were compared with the standard guidelines for the use of prophylactic antibiotics at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, Dipiro 11th edition and Drug Information Handbook. The data were analyzed with SPSS frequency test software to determine the distribution of patients based on predetermined characteristics. The results of the study were the distribution of patients by gender, male (55.2%) and female (44.8%). By age, 12-25th (17.24%); 26-45th (10.34%); and >45th (72.41%). Based on LOS, 1-7 days (58.62%); 8-14 (31.03%); and >14 days (10.34%). The profile of prophylactic use of antibiotics for clavicle fractures in the 2020 period, namely, cefazolin (51.72%); ampicillin (20.69%); ampicillin sulbactam (13.79%); azithromycin (3.45%); and the combination of cefazolin+ampicillin (10.34%). The results of the rationality of prophylactic antibiotics for clavicle fractures for the 2020 period are, right patient (100%), right indication (100%), right drug (100%), right dose (100%), right time of administration (75.86%), right route administration (100%), and be aware of side effects (100%). The pattern of interaction of prophylactic antibiotics for clavicle fracture with other drugs is that there is a pharmacokinetic interaction between ampicillin and lansoprazole and omeprazole that occurs in the drug absorption phase.
