Abstract
The purpose of this research to maintain emotional health by the various kind of health information from the Internet. This study is necessary to optimize the value of the internet as a health information sharing tool among the human being for optimizing the emotional health. The study is using questionnaire based survey as the methodology. The object of this study are the health major students within Surakarta city with samples pulled out of exactly 200 individual students who had been using m.klickdokter.com as the respondents. Purposive sampling method is being developed as sampling collection. The analytical tool used in this research is simple linear regression, whereas the moderation analyzer uses a multilevel regression analysis tool. The result of the study indicates H1 and H2 have significant connection whereas H3 has no significant connection. That result indicates that emotional health is improved by social support by health information found in the internet. However, random information surfing experiences in the internet has no significant influence to the connection between health information on internet and social support that gives meaning to the online information retrieval experience instead of being an individual booster for social support that improves emotional health.
