Abstract

Nonconformity prescription to hospital formulary can cause a drug vacancywhich can result in not fulfilled of therapy to the patients sothat it will affect the treatment process and the cost becomes not effective and efficient.This study aims to determine the precentage of doctor comliancein prescribing in accordance with the formulary in Asy Syifa’ general hospital in the period from October to December 2019, know the average use value of the number of drug items per prescription sheet and to know factor that affect the doctor noncomliance in prescribing. The method used non-experimental which is descriptive. Sampling is done a Purposive Sampling. Data analysis uses the formula of the percentage of comformity between the amount of precription drugs in accordance with the formulary Asy-Syifa’ general hospital during the period October to December 2019. Primary data in the form of causes non-compliance doctors in prescribing the hospital formulary which obatained from the result of the interview while secondary data be in the form of general outpatients prescription sheet obtained in Asy Syifa’ general hospital pharmacy installation. The Result showed the suitability of prescribing with hospital formulay is 83,73%. The average value of drug items per recipe sheet used is 2,11 drug items while causative factor causing the doctor non-comliance in prescribing among others; the doctor still have quite high a control in giving of therapy at patients, many new products have not been included in the formulary.
