Abstract

Hypertension in pregnancy if the blood pressure is 140/90 mmHg or more that occurs during pregnancy with repeated measurements. There are still many inaccuracies in the use of antihypertensive drugs in pregnancy. This study aims to describe and evaluate the use of drugs in obstetric and gynecological patients in an inpatient setting based on article reviews. This research is an of article review using the narrative review method. the sample used is articles or journals that meet the inclusion criteria, It found ten journals obtained through the Google Scholar, Pubmed and Science Direct websites. Evaluation of drug use the right indication, right drug, right dose, and right patient. The results of this review study showed that nifedipine is the most widely used antihypertensive drug, used by 306 patients (60.71%) and antihypertensive combination of two drugs nifedipine and methyldopa by 33 (6.54%). The rationality of antihypertensive in obstetrical and gynecological patients are 89,7% right indication, 88.4% right drug, 97.7% right dose, and 95,2% right patient. Key word : anti hypertension drugs, narrative review, pregnancy, and rationality drug use.
