Abstract
Glucose, SGOT and SGPT examination constitutes a clinical chemistry examination package for screening all patients <40 years old in RSJD Surakarta. Sampling is conducted by using 2 vacuum tubes, ie a red cap tube (serum) and a purple cap tube (with EDTA anticoagulant). All of three tests are possible to use EDTA plasma samples, so the use of serum tubes can be reduced. The purpose of this study was to identy whether there were differences in the results of glucose, SGOT and SGPT examinations using serum and plasma EDTA samples. This study was conducted at Surakarta Regional Mental Hospital in April 2017 by taking 30 samples. Blood glucose examination used GOD-PAP method, while SGOT and SGPT examination used IFCC method. The result of Paired t test statistical analysis for blood glucose examination showed value 0,00, whereas Wilcoxon analysis for SGOT and SGPT showed value 0,573 for SGOT and 0,389 for SGPT. The conclusions of this study were for blood glucose there was a difference between serum and plasma EDTA (p <0.05) samples, whereas for SGOT and SGPT the results of serum and plasma EDTA samples were similar (p> 0.005).
