Abstract

Evil crops and honey are widely used as traditional medicine. Utilization shrewd as traditional medicine needs innovation so that more practical use one of them is making tablets from cruel plant extracts. Honey can be used as a binder. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the leaf extracts of vermicelli can be made tablets that have good physical properties with binders of honey, to know the effect of different concentration of honey as a binder on the physical quality of tablets, and to find out the best formula of vermicelli leaf extract tablets. Preparation of vermicelli leaf extract tablet using wet granulation method. Granulation is made with binders of honey, formula I honey 1%, formula II honey 3%, formula III honey 5%. Evaluation of physical properties of granules include flow time test, steady angle, and shrinkage of drying, while the granules that have been forged into tablets tested the physical quality of tablets which include: weight uniformity test, hardness test, frailness test, and crushed Time test. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using ANOVA test. The results showed that the leaf extracts of vermicelli leaves can be made tablets that have good physical properties with binders of honey. Variation of honey binder concentration have an effect on physical properties of ethanol extract 96% of leaf kejibeling that is higher honey concentration hence increasing hardness, decreasing of tablet fragility, and increasing of time test destroyed. 5% honey consectivity has good physical properties compared to 3% honey consume and 1% honey, but Formula I has the best time to break.
