Abstract

Preeclampsia is one of the causes of maternal mortality with a percentage of 2 to 8% of pregnancies worldwide. This study aims to find out the profile of antihypertensive drug use in preeclampsia patients at Dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Hospital Inpatient Installation in 2020 and find out the rationality of antihypertensive use in inpatients at Dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Hospital in 2020. This study is a non-experimental study using descriptive approach methods and retrospective data clumping. Study sampling using purposive sampling techniques This study sample is medical record data of preeclampsia patients who were given antihypertensive therapy at Dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Hospital Inpatient Installation that was adjusted to inclusion criteria. The results showed that the use of antihypertension in preeclampsia patients at Dr Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Hospital Inpatient Installation was in accordance with the Queensland Clinical Guidelines and POGI 2016. Evaluation of antihypertensive rationality based on patient proper (100%), appropriate indication (82.2%), appropriate drug (86.3%), and appropriate dose (100%), right way of administration (100%), right length of administration (97.40%), on time interval of administration (100%), and alert side effects (95.89%).
