Abstract
This study aims to see the relationship between variables and want to produce a better model of previous research by combining proactive cognitive variables and work relevance variables. Data obtained through questionnaires on employees of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Surakarta both medical and non medical. The sample used is the employees of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Surakarta both medical and non medical. Sampling technique is a random sample with two stage sampling cluster sampling method but because of the existing constraints in the field then all the samples of 102 people. Hypothesis test by using regression analysis with mediator variable. The results in this study indicate that Job Engagement negatively affects Proactive Behavior, Proactive Cognitive Positive Influence on Proactive Behavior, Proactive Cognitive Positive Influence on Job Engagement, and Job Engagement weakens the relationship between Proactive Cognitive relationship and Proactive Behavior Keywords: proactive cognitive, work engagement and proactive behavior.
