Abstract

Candidiasis is an infectious disease caused by excessive breeding of C. albicans fungus, where under normal conditions the fungus appears in small amounts. White cambodian leaves (P. acuminata) contain compounds such as triterpenoids, steroids, flavonoids, and tannins that have antifungal properties. This study aims to find out the bland power of liquid soap white cambodian leaf extract in inhibiting the growth of C. albicans. As well as conducting physical quality and stability tests of liquid soap preparations of white cambodian leaf extract. Liquid soap is formulated with extract concentrations of 5, 10, and 15%. White cambodian leaves are extracted by the maceration method using 70% ethanol. The process of making liquid soap is divided into water and oil phases, and extracts are added in the last stage of soap making. Physical quality testing includes organoleptic testing, pH, type weight, and viscosity. Used well diffusion method with a size of 6 mm to test the antifungal activity of liquid soap. In the test of the antifungal activity of liquid soap preparations, F3 liquid soap with an additional extract concentration of 15% had the best activity in inhibiting the growth of Candida albicans with an average diameter of 45.67 mm in three replications. F1 liquid soap with the addition of a 5% extract concentration is a preparation that has good physical quality and stability.
