Abstract

Hematocrit examination can be done by Micro and Hematology Analyzer method. The micro-examination method is based on blood with centrifuge anticoagulant for 15 minutes at a rate of 3000 rpm, so that the blood and plasma cells are separated, whereas the Hematology Analyzer has the principle of measurement and absorption of light due to light-induced intraction of rays having a certain wavelength solution or sample being skipped. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of hematocrit value of micro method and Hematology Analyzer. The study was conducted at Puskesmas Banyuanyar, Surakarta with 30 venous blood samples with EDTA male alcohol drinkers in Segaran Village, Delanggu Klaten who consumed alcohol, then samples were examined using micro method and Analyzer method. The results obtained in the test with statistics using the Shapiro-wilk method, and then proceed with a different test is the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of the examination obtained from 30 samples with statistical test showed a significance value of 0.05 is 0.006 <0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a difference between the results of hematocrit examination of Micro method with Analyzer.
