Abstract
Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is a type of Mycobacterium tuberculosis with minimum resistance to rifampicin and isoniazid with or without other anti-tuberculosis drugs. Drugs used for MDR-TB therapy are identified nephrotoxic. The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences of uric acid and creatinine examination results of patients with multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) under therapies with the periods of 0, 6, and 12 months. This study applied cross-sectional method. The secondary data included 53 samples of patients with MDR-TB. This study was carried out from February to March 2017 in Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) of Dr. Moewardi. Data were analyzed using Kolmogorov Smirnov test to measure data normality and repeated ANOVA test with significance level of p<0.05, paired sample t-test with p<0.05, Friedman test with p<0.05, and Wilcoxon test with significance level of p<0.05 and confidence interval of 95%. The research results demonstrate that there are significant differences of the results of uric acid (p=0.000) and creatinine (p=000) examinations on patients with MDR-TB in 0 month, 6 months, and 12 months therapies, differences of uric acid levels in 0 month and 6 months therapies (p=0.000) and in 0 month and 12 months therapies (p=0.000), and there insignificant difference of uric acid levels in 6 months and 12 months therapies (p=0.277), while there are significant differences of creatinine levels in 0 month and 6 months therapies (p=0.000) and 0 month and 12 months therapies (p=0.001), and there was not any significant difference of creatinine level in therapy periods of 6 months and 12 months (p=0.231).
