Abstract

Malaria is a disease caused by Plasmodium parasites and is transmitted by Anopheles mosquitoes. Factors associated with the occurrence of malaria is the environment as well as human behavior. In the work area of Oelolok Puskesmas the incidence of malaria is quite high. In 2015, of 822 people who performed malaria checks at the Oelolok Health Center laboratory, 60 people were found to be positive infected with malaria. This study aims to determine the effect of community and environmental behavior on the incidence of malaria in the work area of Oelolok Puskesmas. The tecnique of colecting data in this research is to use the quetioner, observation, and examination of the stock of thick blood. The data is processed with SPSS PASW 18 using Chi – Square Test. This research use 100 respondens as example of research. The tecnique of sampling that use is the sistematic Random sampling. The method of data analyst to use bivariat and multivariat analyst. The result of data analysis for environmental factor obtained no significant influence from the presence of wire gauze to the incidence of malaria and there is significant influence of house wall density, ceiling, house humidity condition, existence of bushes and state of lighting in house to malaria incident. For behavioral factors, there is a significant influence of knowledge, attitude and xv action on malaria incidence. The incidence of malaria from 100 respondents who examined the malaria positive as much as 25 respondents. Key word : behavior, surrounding , and malaria
