Abstract

Fever is a state of body temperature above normal temperature, the temperature is >37◦C. Soursop leaf (Annona muricata L.) can be used as an alternative of chemical drugs because it contain flavonoids that could reduce a fever. the research purposes is to know the effect of antipyretic, n-hexane fraction and ethyl acetate fraction which is equivalent to paracetamol on a white male rat which is induced by pepton. This research uses 20 test animals, a white male rats that has been divided to 4 group of test treatment and there is 5 rats for each groups. Giving CMC Na 1% for negative control, paracetamol with 45 mg/kg as positive control, N-Hexane Fraction (13,3 mg/kg BB), ethyl actetate fraction (120 mg/kg BB). The rats has been induced by using 5% dose of pepton with subcutaneous administration volume by 1 ml. The body temperature is measured using digital thermometer by rectal, the temperature is measured in every 30 minutes untill it reached out to 120 minute. T0 is obtained after administration of the preparation orally. The result of the data will be calculated by using AUC and calculate average of AUC, then the result will be analyzed with Saphiro Wilk Test and One Way Anova Test. The result of this research shown that N-Hexane Fraction and ethyl acetate fraction and soursop leaf that contain an efficacy as antipyretic. The result of animal test's body temperature measurement shows that ethyl acetate fraction with 120mg/kg BB of doses is equal with positive control of paracetamol.
