Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a disease that characterized by increasing prolonged blood sugar levels. It happen because there an absolute or relative insulin deficiency. Measuring of blood glucose in laboratory usually using blood enzymatic method, usually using enzymatic method especially oxidase glucose or hexokinase method while in laboratory. Blood Glucose Meters are the most progress in diabetes monitoring. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in blood sugar levels between hexokinase methods with POCT blood glucose. There were 100 respondents in this study. Hexokinase method and POCT sample which using in hexokinase method checkup is a serum and POCT method is a whole blood. The result of data which got from statistic test result is with analyze by paired sample t test. Accu ceck method got 0.588 p-value. Glucocard method got 0.100 p-value and smart ceck method got 0.067 p-value. Keyword : Diabetes Melitus, Blood Glucose Meters, Metode POCT, Metode Hexokinase.
