Abstract
Asthma is a chronic inflammation disease in respiratory tract. One of the drugs that usually used to prevent and decimate asthma is salbutamol. Salbutamol in this experiment made in the form of tablet preparation, because tablet is widely used by society. In making tablet are required binders, fillers, crusher, and lubricant materials. The purpose of this experiment is to know the effect of crosspovidone and explotab in the physical quality of tablet and the combination of crusher that can give best time for salbutamol tablet to crash. The making of Salbultamol tablet using wet granulation method in this experiment is using the combination crusher which are crosspovidone and explotab with the concentration comparison as follows, formula I 1% : 1% , formula II 1% : 2%, formula III 2 % : 1 %, and then continued by testing granules flow time, drying shrinkage, angle of repose, uniformity of weight, tablet hardness, tablet fragility, and time crash tablet. Statistical analysis was done by using Anova One Way method with 95 % of degree of freedom, using spss 17 program. The result of this experiment shows that the tablet preparations of salbutamol can be made by combine crusher materials which are crosspovidone and explotad. From the test of physical quality of the tablet shows that formula III with combining of crosspovidone and explotab gives the most optimal result of the time crash compared to formula II and formula I.
