Abstract
Depot Air Minum (DAM) is an industrial business that processes raw water into drinking water and sells it directly to consumers, so it is necessary to maintain its quality so that it is safe for consumption by the public. The purpose of this study is to determine the microbiological quality of refill drinking water at the Depot Air Minum in Kota Surakarta and to compare the quality of drinking water refilled by the filtration system with the Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. This research was conducted by comparing the readings in the MPN 5 1 1 table with the requirements of the Permenkes No. 492 tahun 2010, then compared the test results between filtration and Reverse Osmosis (RO) processing techniques. The data were statistically processed using SPSS 25. Data that were normally distributed were used the ANOVA test and data that were not normally distributed were used the Kruskal Wallis test. The results showed that the quality of pH in DAM in Kota Surakarta was one (12.5%) that did not qualify and the quality of all TDS qualified, while the microbiological quality of DAM in Kota Surakarta with a Filtration system contained one (12.5%) which did not qualify and in the Reverse Osmosis (RO) system there are three (37%) that did not qualify. Drinking water treatment with a filtration system compared to an RO system showed better microbiological results. Keywords: Refill Water, Filtration, RO, Physics, Microbiology,
