Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic degenerative disease that has an increasing number of sufferers every year. Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus often causes serious diabetic complications. Diabetic nephropathy is one of the microvascular complications that causes death or disability in patients. This study aims to analyze the results of the examination of HbA1C, microalbumin urine, and GFR in patients type 2 diabetes mellitus. The research data was obtained from secondary data of type 2 DM patients who did an examination at the Prodia Tulungagung Clinical Laboratory on May 10 to May 19, 2022 by purposive sampling and then analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The results of the study depicting the results of HbA1C examination, urine microalbumin and Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) showed that from a total of 106 respondents, the results of uncontrolled DM patients were 46 (43.42%) and controlled DM 60 people (56.6%), the results of microalbumin urine examination were 65 people (61.3%) normal urine microalbumin levels and 41 people (38.67%) abnormal urine microalbumin, the results of the Glomerular Filtration Rate examination showed 54 people (50.94%) normal GFR results and 52 people (49.05%) abnormal GFR results.
