Abstract

Pneumonia is a lower respiratory infections disease are common in children. The incidence of pneumonia in the Indonesian every year is still relatively high. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of drugs and evaluation the use of antibiotics with pneumonia pediatric Inpatient Dr. Moewardi Surakarta Hospital period 2017. This research was kind of non-experimental, retrospective data collection and analyzed descriptive. Sampling was taken as many as 50 patients with purposive sampling method. The study was conducted by evaluating the use of antibiotics by appropriate indications, right patient, right drug and right dosage. Data were compared with hospital formulary and Medical Care Guidliene IDAI 2009. The results of this study were obtained antibiotic used for the treatment of pediatric pneumonia is ampicillin (12%), cefotaxime (6%) and cefriaxone (22%). Evaluate the accuracy of the use of antibiotics knownbased on hospital formulary (100%) and Medical Care Guidliene IDAI 2009 obtained the appropriate indication (100%), the right of patients (100%), the right medication (94%) and right dosage (72.97%).
