Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a contagious disease characterized by fever and is accompanied by bleeding. Dengue hemorrhagic fever is caused by dengue virus and transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes that live in and around the home. In 2014 there are 256 cases of dengue fever spread in 17 areas of Public Health Center in the city of Surakarta. One of Public Health Center with high DHF incidence is Sibela Public Health Center Mojosongo village where in 2016 there is a very significant improvement.This study aims to determine the correlation between knowledge about DHF and behavior of mosquito nest restriction with Larvae Free Index In Mojosongo Village of Surakarta. This type of research is an observational research with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used in this study is systematic random sampling with the population is the community of Mojosongo Village with a sample size of 260 people. The data analysis technique used is chi square. The result of the research shows that there is no correlation between the knowledge about DHF with the Larvae Free Index in Mojosongo village of Surakarta, but there is a correlation between the behavior of mosquito nest restriction with Larvae Free Index In Mojosongo Village of Surakarta. The percentage of Larvae Free Index in District Mojosongo is 93,8%. Key word : Knowledge about DHF, behavior of mosquito nest restriction, Larvae Free Index
