Abstract
A sense of pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience due to network damage both actual and potential. Cinnamon is one of the plants as traditional medicine that is efficacious as an analgesic. The essential oil obtained further is formulated into the emulgel aromatherapy roll on. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the essential oil of cinnamon stem can be made a preparation of emulgel aromatherapy roll on which could meet the physical quality requirements and to determine the analgesic activity of the emulgel roll on preparation, and know the effective concentration of essential oil cinnamon as anal Essential oil cinnamon is obtained using steam distillation method. Formulated into the form of emulgel roll on preparation. The concentration of essential oil used is 2,5 ; 5 and 10%. Physical quality testing tests Emulgel preparations include organoleptic testing, pH, homogeneity, viscosity, solving power, attachment, irritation and stability. Then an analgesic testing was carried out in white male animals (Mus Musculus L.) using the Writhing Test method. Observing the number of stretches on mice every 5 minutes for 60 minutes is calculated for the testing data. Providing 1% acetate acid induction by intraperitoneal. The data obtained was then analyzed by using the SPSS application using the One Way Anova method then continued the Post Hoc LSD test. The test results show that the essential oil made preparations for emulgel roll on meet good physical quality requirements.
