Abstract
Sepsis is a clinical condition caused by the body's systemic response to infection. Antibiotics are a therapy that must be given as soon as sepsis is diagnosed. Antibiotics in use are susceptible to the presence of resistance. This study aims to determine the description of antibiotic treatment in sepsis patients. This study was conducted with a non-experimental descriptive research type and data collected retrospectively. The method used is the Gyssens method. The sample of this study were all patients diagnosed with sepsis listed in the medical records at the Inpatient Installation of RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta in 2019-2021 which meets the inclusion criteria. From this study used 47 samples of medical records of sepsis patients from the Inpatient Installation of RSUD Dr. Moewardi and the results of the assessment category 0 (correct) were 72.3%, category IVa (use of other more effective antibiotics) was 21.3%, category IIb (use of antibiotics was not at the right interval) was 6.4% Key word : Antibiotic, medical record, sepsis, Gyssens
