Abstract
Mango leaves bacang (Mangifera foetida L.) is a plant that contains compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and phenolics, inaddition there are mangiferin compounds as antioxidants to prevent cancer. This study aims to determine and compare the antioxidant activity of ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetat and water as an antidote to free radicals. Mango bacang leaves were extracted using the maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent, then fractionated with n-hexane solvent, ethyl acetate and water. Then tested phytochemical screening with color reaction method and tested antioxidant activity using UVVis spectrophotometry DPPH method. IC50 data were statistically analyzed with the SPSS One-way ANOVA method. The results obtained in the antioxidant activity test showed that all concentrations had the ability to capture DPPH free radicals where the IC value of50 for ethanol extract, N-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, water fraction and quercetin was 54.548 μg/mL; 101.59 μg/mL; 27.267 μg/mL; 45.804 μg/mL; 9.403 μg/mL. Statistical analysis using SPSS with the One-way ANOVA method which found sig<0.05 results so that the data showed significant differences.
