Abstract

Diabetic mellitus is a metabolic disease which is a collection of symptoms that arise in a person because of an increase in blood glucose levels above the normal value. The disease is caused by impaired glucose metabolism due to insulin deficiency either in absolute or relative. There are 2 types of diabetic mellitus that is type I diabetes / juvenile diabetes is diabetes that is generally obtained since childhood and diabetic type II is diabetic obtained after adulthood. This study aims to describe and know the analytics of antidiabetic drug use in patients diagnosed with type II diabetic mellitus in Inpatient Installation RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso In 2016. This research is a non-experimental descriptive research with retrospective retrieval data from medical record data of type II diabetic mellitus patients. Data used include patient identity, diagnosis, dose, and class of drugs used. Data analysis included the use of antidiabetic drugs. The results showed antidiabetic used in oral preparation Metformine 500 mg, Glimepiride 2 mg, Glimepiride 1 mg, Glimepiride 3 mg, and Glibenclamide 5 mg, with the largest number of biguanida (metformine 500 mg) as much as 25 tablets while on the use of insulin preparation Apidra , Humulin® R, Humulin N®, Lantus and Novorapid, with the most number of novorapid of 33 IU. The use of antidiabetic in patients with type 2 diabetic mellitus in patient Installation RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso In 2016 conformity with Hospital Formulary (100%) and PERKENI 2015 (100%).
