Abstract
Padmarini, A., 2023. Antifungal Test Combination of Telang Flower (Clitoria ternatea) and Papaya Leaves (Carica papaya) Infusion to C. Albicans. The Study Program of D3 in Medical Laboratory Technology, Faculty of Health Sciences, Setia Budi University C. Albicans infects when the immune condition of the human body decreases, then infects the folds of the skin (intertriginosa), vagina (vulvovaginitis), the inside of the oral cavity (thrush), and nails (paronicia). Factors that support the growth of this fungus are lack of public awareness about the cleanliness and use of antibiotics that too long. Telang flowers (Clitoria ternatea) and papaya leaves (Carica papaya) contain secondary metabolitic compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and saponins so that they are able to be an antifungal. The combination of telang flowers (Clitoria ternatea) and papaya leaves (Carica papaya) can be used as a prevention of Candidiasis. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the telang flower infusion (Carica papaya), papaya leaves (Carica papaya), and the combination inhibits the growth of C. albicans The research method used is experimental laboratory using the Telang flower Infusa method (Clitoria ternatea), Papaya leaves (Carica papaya) with 5 variations test the most effective concentration to inhibit the growth of C. albicans. Based on the antifungal test on the telang flower (Clitoria ternatea) and papaya leaves (Carica papaya) in the results of tests I, II, and III, the average diameter of the inhibition zone of concentration A, concentration B, concentration C of 0 mm, concentration D of 4 mm, and E concentration of 5 mm, and negative control of 0 mm, positive control of 28,33 mm in SGA media so it is not effective in inhibiting C. albicans growth.
