Scientific Writing, D3 Medical Laboratory Technology Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Setia Budi University. Advisor : dr. Ratna Herawati, M. Biomed Menopause is the time when a woman no longer has menstruation. This is because the formation of the hormones estrogen and progesterone from a woman's ovaries decreases, the ovaries stop releasing eggs so that menstrual activity decreases and finally stops altogether. This hormone binds to albumin to enter the blood circulation, if the hormone decreases or decreases, albumin production also decreases. This can reduce albumin levels in menopausal women.The purpose of this study was to describe albumin levels in postmenopausal women at RT 02, RW 20, Mojosongo, Jebres, Surakarta. The research design is descriptive. The results of the examination of albumin levels were carried out at the Setia Budi University Laboratory in Surakarta.. This study used 30 samples of menopausal women aged over 56 years in RT 02, RW 20, Mojosongo, Jebres, Surakarta and was supported by published literature. Examination of serum albumin levels using a photometer with the Rayto RT-9200 type with the Bromocresol green method. The results of examining albumin levels in 30 samples of menopausal women aged over 56 years at RT 02, RW 20, Mojosongo, Jebres, Surakarta showed that 14 samples (47%) albumin levels were less than normal and 16 samples (53%) were normal. From the examinations conducted, the results of research showed that menopausal women experienced a decrease in albumin levels with increasing age.
