Especially, foods that contain of fat, protein, and carbohydrate. Excess excess body fat in the liver can lead to inflammation, characterized by elevated levels of transaminase enzymes (serum glutamic oxaloacetik transaminase (SGOT) and serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT)). The purpose of this research to determine differences in the levels of SGOT and SGPT in normoweight and overweight students at the University of Setia Budi. This type of research cross sectional analytic approach using observational comparative design. This research was conducted in March 2017 until April 2017 at the Laboratory of Clinical Chemistry University of Setia Budi Surakarta. Statistical analysis using Independent Samples T-test-Test with p < 0.05 with a 95% confidence interval. The results of comparative research on the student normoweight SGOT and overweight obtained a mean ± SD of 0.20 IU / L and SGPT levels normoweight and overweight students obtained a mean ± SD of 0.53 IU / L. These results exceed the level of significance (p <0.05). From the results obtained, there are no significant differences in the levels of SGOT and SGPT normoweight and overweight students at the University of Setia Budi Keywords: Overweight, Normoweight, SGOT, SGPT
