Abstract

LARASATI SEKAR PASHA, 2023, ANALYSIS OF IRON CONTENT (II) IN BLOOD SUPPLEMENTED TABLETS USING PERMANGANOMETRIC METHOD, THESIS, BACHELOR OF PHARMACY, FACULTY OF PHARMACY. SETIA BUDI UNIVERSITY, SURAKARTA. Supervised by Dr. Nuraini Harmastuti, S.Si., M.Si. and apt. Vivin Nopiyanti, M.Sc. Blood supplement tablets are multivitamin tablets to iron deficiency anemia, namely a lack of iron in the body. Blood supplement tablets contain iron (II) as ferrous sulfate, ferrous fumarate, and ferrous gluconate. The aim of this research is to determine the iron (II) content in each blood supplement tablet sample which can be analyzed using the permanganometry method. This study used blood supplement tablets containing different variations of iron (II) as ferrous fumarate and ferrous gluconate. Analysis of iron (II) levels in blood supplement tablets using the permanganometric method using 4 different samples of blood supplement tablets. The results of this study were that the analysis of iron (II) levels in blood supplement tablets could not be analyzed using the permanganometry method because it did not meet the method validation parameter requirements, and the results of the analysis of iron (II) levels in blood supplement tablets did not meet the requirements in accordance with the Indonesian Pharmacopoeia, VI edition LARASATI SEKAR PASHA, 2023, ANALISIS KADAR BESI (II) DALAM TABLET TAMBAH DARAH DENGAN METODE PERMANGANOMETRI, SKRIPSI, PROGRAM STUDI S1 FARMASI, FAKULTAS FARMASI, UNIVERSITAS SETIA BUDI, SURAKARTA. Dibimbing oleh Dr. Nuraini Harmastuti, S.Si., M.Si. dan apt. Vivin Nopiyanti, M.Sc. Tablet tambah darah merupakan tablet multivitamin untuk mengatasi anemia defisiensi besi yaitu kurangnya zat besi dalam tubuh. Tablet tambah darah mengandung besi (II) diantaranya sebagai ferro sulfat, ferro fumarat, dan ferro glukonat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kadar besi (II) pada tiap sampel tablet tambah darah dapat dianalisis dengan metode permanganometri. Penelitian ini menggunakan tablet tambah darah yang mengandung variasi besi (II) yang berbeda sebagai ferro fumarat dan ferro glukonat. Analisis kadar besi (II) dalam tablet tambah darah metode permanganometri menggunakan 4 sampel tablet tambah darah yang berbeda. Hasil pada penelitian ini adalah analisis kadar besi (II) dalam tablet tambah darah tidak dapat dianalisis dengan metode permanganometri karena tidak memenuhi syarat parameter validasi metode, dan hasil analisis kadar besi (II) dalam tablet tambah darah tidak memenuhi persyaratan sesuai dengan Farmakope Indonesia edisi VI.
