ACUTE DERMAL IRRITATION TEST AND ANTI-ACNE ACTIVITY TEST OF PEEL OFF GEL MASK YELLOW KEPOK BANANA PEEL EXTRACT (Musa balbisiana) ON ALBINO RABBITS INDUCED BY ACNE BACTERIA, THESIS, PHARMACEUTICAL STUDY PROGRAM, FACULTY OF PHARMACY, SETIA BUDI UNIVERSITY, SURAKARTA. Supervised by Dr. apt. Gunawan Pamudji Widodo, M.Si.. and apt. Reslely Harjanti, S.Farm., M.Sc. The skin of the yellow kepok banana (Musa balbisiana) is known to contain flavonoids, saponins, alkaloids and tannins which can inhibit the activity of acne-causing bacteria. To increase the effectiveness of using yellow kepok banana peel (Musa balbisiana), a peel off gel mask was made. This study aims to measure the irritating effect on the skin of rabbits' backs made from a peel off gel mask made from yellow kepok banana (Musa balbisiana) extract and to see the antibacterial activity of the preparation. The method used refers to KaBPOM RI regulation no. 7 of 2014, and can observe whether there is an effect of erythema and edema due to the gel mask preparation and see the antibacterial activity of the preparation on the skin of the rabbit's back which is induced by acne-causing bacteria. Data analysis to obtain a primary irritation index (PPI). Looking at antibacterial activity in bacterial-induced healing of rabbit back skin. The peel off gel mask preparation of yellow kepok banana peel extract in the acute dermal irritation test was included in the very mild irritant in calculating the primary irritation index with a PPI value of 0.006. Yellow kepok banana peel extract peel off gel mask has healing activity on Staphylococcus aureus bacteria
