Abstract
Sesame oil (Oleum sesami) having efficacy as a medicine for cholesterol is made in the preraration of the emulsion. Sesame oil emulsion made with the aim to determine the phycical quality of sesame oil emulsion. Sesame oil emulsion is made in 3 formulations with CMC concentration of 1.2%, 1.6%, and 2.0% using the wet gum method. Sesame oil emulsion stability tested include: viscosity test, centrifugation separation and determination of the type of emulsion. Data were statistically analyzed one-way ANOVA. The results showed that sesame oil can be made into an emulsion preparation. Sesame oil emulsion with CMC concentration of 1.2%, 1.6% and 2.0% qualify viscosity test and test centrifuge separation. Formula 1 with a concentration of 1.2% CMC is the most stable formulations because it provides better test results than other formulations 2 and 3 formulations.
