Abstract

Tonikum merupakan bahan untuk memacu dan memperkuat sistem organ serta menstimulan perbaikan sel-sel tonus otot. Efek tonikum selain diperoleh dari minuman berbahan kimia dapat juga dari tanaman obat seperti daun binahong yang mengandung senyawa flavonoid dan alkaloid yang diduga mempunyai efek tonikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ekstrak etanol daun binahong memiliki efek tonikum dan dosis efektif ekstrak etanol daun binahong pada mencit putih jantan (Mus musculus). Metode ekstraksi daun binahong pada penelitian ini menggunakan maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 70%. Uji aktivitas tonikum menggunakan metode Natatory Exhaustion dan uji gelantung. Parameter yang diamati berupa swimming time dan kemampuan mencit putih jantan bergelantung dengan kontrol negatif Na-CMC 05%, kontrol positif kafein 100 mg/kgBB, dosis ekstrak daun binahong 10,92; 21,84; dan 32,76 mg/20 g BB mencit. Data hasil pengukuran dianalisis dengan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk Test dan uji homogenitas. Setelah memenuhi syarat, maka dilanjutkan dengan One way ANOVA kemudian uji Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) memiliki aktivitas tonikum pada mencit putih jantan ditandai dengan adanya perbedaan signifikan pada kontrol negatif Na-CMC 0,5%. Dosis efektif dari ekstrak daun binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) yaitu 21,84 mg/20 g BB. Tonic is a material to spur and strengthen organ systems and stimulate the repair of muscle tone cells. The tonic effect besides being obtained from chemical drinks can also be from medicinal plants such as binahong leaf which contain flavonoid compounds and alkaloids that are thought to have a tonic effect. This study aims to determine the ethanol extract of binahong leaf has a tonic effect and an effective dose of binahong leaf ethanol extract in male white mice (Mus musculus). The binahong leaf extraction method in this study used maceration with 70% ethanol solvent. Test tonic activity using Natatory Exhaustion method and gelantung test. The parameters observed were swimming time and the ability of male white mice to hang with a negative control of Na-CMC 0,5%, a positive control of caffeine 100 mg/kgBB, dose of binahong leaf extract 10,92; 21,84; and 32,76 mg/20 g BB. The measurement data were analyzed by Shapiro- Wilk Test normality test and homogeneity test. After meeting the requirements, then proceed with One way ANOVA then test Tukey. The results showed that ethanol extract of binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) leaf had tonic activity in male white mice characterized by a significant difference in the negative control of Na- CMC 0.5%.. Effective dose of extract binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) leaf which is 21,84 mg/20 g BB.
