Abstract
Hidayatulloh, M.S.N. 2023. Mycological Examination of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients at Manguharjo Lung Hospital Madiun. D4 Health Analyst Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Setia Budi Surakarta. Mycosis is fungal contamination that grows influenced by the environment and physiological conditions. Inhalation of fungal spores forms fungal colonies on the skin and persistent contamination can occur. Mycosis can first occur on the skin or in the lungs (Hasanah, 2017). The aim of this study was to determine whether or not there was pulmonary mycosis and the prevalence of pulmonary mycosis in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at RSP Manguharjo Madiun. Research that has been carried out uses observational analytical methods using a cross sectional approach. The data used is primary data, namely data directly from original sources through surveys, interviews, or direct observation with 10% KOH The results of research that has been carried out did not find any incidence of pulmonary mycosis in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Manguharjo Lung Hospital, Madiun. Negative results in this study could be caused by not taking duplicate samples, so that the samples taken did not detect hyphae or spores. Research conducted on sputum samples from pulmonary tuberculosis patients at RSP Manguharjo Madiun with a total of 23 samples did not find pulmonary mycosis so the prevalence of pulmonary mycosis in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at RSP Manguharjo Madiun was found to be 0% positive.
