D4 Health Analyst Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Setia Budi. Those alcohol beverages usually contain of ethyl alcohol which are processed by fermentation and distillation. Hemoglobin is the main component of red blood cells. Consuming alcohol can inhibit the formation of red blood cells. Excessive alcohol consumption abuse can cause addiction and can affect a person's attitude, which is unable to control themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference on hemoglobin (Hb) levels in alcohol dependent drinker and social drinker in Boyolali. This research used analytical observational research with a cross-sectional analysis design. When this study was conducted in May 2023, it was carried out at the UPT Surakarta Regional Health Laboratory using data collection techniques, namely a minimum sample size technique with a population of all adult male alcohol drinkers. This research used 60 samples taken from 30 samples for alcohol dependent drinkers and 30 samples for alcohol social drinkers and carried out hemoglobin examination with a hematology analyzer. The results of this study indicate that there was a significant difference in the Mann-Whitney Test with a p value of 0.043 which means that there was a significant difference in hemoglobin (Hb) levels in dependent drinkers and social drinkers in Boyolali.
