Yulianti, Tri.2023. The Effect of Using Antiretroviral Drugs on CD4 Counts and Blood Hemoglobin Levels in HIV Patients at the VCT Polyclinic, Mangusada Regional Hospital, Badung Regency. D4 Health Analyst Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Setia Budi University, Surakarta. Side effects of antiretroviral therapy (ARV) are a decrease in hemoglobin (Hb) and an increase in CD4 levels which are influenced by the duration of therapy. The higher the dosage of the drug used, the more severe the side effects, can also be reviewed by the duration of drug use. The purpose of this study was to find out how the use of ARV drugs affects CD4 and blood hemoglobin counts in HIV patients at the VCT polyclinic, Mangusada regional hospital, Badung regency. This type of research is analytic observational with a crosssectional research design and a total sampling technique of 24 samples using secondary and primary data. This research was conducted at the VCT Polyclinic, Mangusada Regional Hospital from April to June 2023. Data were tested for normality using the Shapiro-Wilk test and data analysis using the Paired t-test. The results of the paired t-test for hemoglobin levels before and after ARV therapy were 0.258 (p>0.005), this indicated that there was no significant effect between hemoglobin levels before and after therapy. The results of the paired t-test for CD4 count were 0.000 (p<0.005), this indicated that there was a significant effect between hemoglobin levels before and after therapy.
