Abstract
Vitamin C is also called of ascorbic acid, is vitamin that solves in the water and has important role in repairing body tissue and metabolic process. Lemon fruit contains vitamin C. This research aims to acknowledge the difference between levels of vitamin C on local and import lemon fruit by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Research begins with qualitative analysis continued by quantitative analysis by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Conducted determination of the wave length on 240-280 nm. Then conducted Operating Time for 20 minutes. Analysis method that used is raw standard curve to produce equation y = a + bx by using 5 variations of concentration of vitamin C standard solution. Variations of consentration that used are 2,6 µg/ml; 5,2 µg/ml; 7,8 µg/ml; 10,4 µg/ml; 13 µg/ml. Local and import lemon fruit cut into pieces, refined, reviled, centrifuge and filtered then analysis by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The result of research on local and import lemon fruit qualitively showed the vitamin C and quantitatively obtained level of vitamin C on local lemon fruit is 0,0284 ± 0,003507 % ( ⁄ ) and on import lemon fruit is 0,0454 ± 0,003131 % ( ⁄ ) and there is significant differences between levels of vitamin C on local and import lemon fruit.
