Abstract
ABSTRAK Gel merupakan sediaan yang jernih dan digunakan secara topikal. Gel juga merupakan sistem penghantar obat yang paling baik untuk berbagai rute pemberian dan cocok dengan berbagai bahan obat yang berbeda, khususnya terkenal untuk pemberian obat antiinflamasi. Obat yang digunakan dalam formulasi penelitian adalah natrium diklofenak. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi basis HPMC K15M dan propilenglikol terhadap mutu fisik gel natrium diklofenak yang meliputi organoleptis, homogenitas, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat dan pH. Natrium diklofenak diformulasikan dengan konsentrasi HPMC 3%, HPMC 4%, HPMC 5%. Sediaan gel natrium diklofenak dilakukan pengujian mutu fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, homogenitas, daya sebar, daya lekat, viskositas, pH dan uji stabilitas. Data dianalisis dengan membandingkan hasil dengan beberapa literature dan pendekatan statistika menggunakan program SPSS. Terjadinya perbedaan konsistensi ini diakibatkan karena adanya perbedaan konsentrasi. Pada formula 1 mempunyai hasil viskositas paling rendah dengan konsentrasi HPMC K15M 4% dan propilenglikol 10%, formula 2 dengan konsentrasi HPMC K15M 5% dan propilenglikol 9% mempunyai hasil viskositas yang lebih tinggi dari pada formula 1, dan formula 3 memiiki viskositas paling tinggi dengan konsentrasi HPMC K15M 6% dan propilenglikol 8%. ABSTRACT Gel is a clear preparation that is used topically. Gels are also the most favorable drug delivery system for various routes of administration and are compatible with a variety of different drug ingredients, particularly well known for the administration of anti- inflammatory drugs. The drug used in the research formulation was diclofenac sodium drug formula. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of varying concentrations of HPMC K15M base and propylenglycol on the physical quality of diclofenac sodium gel which includes organoleptics, homogeneity, viscosity, spreadability, adhesiveness and pH. Diclofenac sodium drug was formulated with a concentration of HPMC 3%, HPMC 4%, HPMC 5%. Diclofenac sodium gel preparation was tested for physical quality including organoleptic test, homogeneity, spreadability, adhesiveness, viscosity, pH and stability test. Data were analyzed by comparing the results with some literature and statistical approach using SPSS program. The difference in consistency is due to the difference in concentration. In the formula 1 had the lowest viscosity results with 4% HPMC K15M concentration and 10% propylenglycol, formula 2 with 5% HPMC K15M concentration and 9% propylenglycol had higher viscosity results than formula 1, and formula 3 had the highest viscosity with 6% HPMC K15M concentration and 8% propylenglycol.
