Abstract

WANDA VIRDA NURIDA, 2025, ANALISIS METILPARABEN PADA BODY LOTION YANG DIJUAL DI ONLINE SHOP DENGAN METODE KROMATOGRAFI CAIR KINERJA TINGGI, KARYA TULIS ILMIAH, PROGRAM STUDI D-III ANALIS FARMASI DAN MAKANAN, FAKULTAS FARMASI, UNIVERSITAS SETIA BUDI. Body Lotion merupakan sediaan kosmetik yang digunakan untuk menjaga kelembapan dan kesehatan kulit. Metilparaben digunakan sebagai pengawet yang berfungsi menghambat pertumbuhan mikroorganisme. Peraturan BPOM No. 23 Tahun 2019 menetapkan batas maksimum penggunaan sebesar 0,4% untuk penggunaan tunggal dan 0,8% untuk campuran. Beberapa produk tidak mencantumkan kadar metilparaben pada label kemasan sehingga perlu dilakukan analisis terhadap kandungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT) dan metode kuantitatif Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi (KCKT). Verifikasi metode KCKT dilakukan untuk memastikan keandalan analisis dengan uji linearitas didapat r = 0,9997. % recovery pada uji akurasi 101%, RSD pada uji presisi sebesar 1,41% dan spesifisitas menunjukkan waktu retensi spesifik. Sampel yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga produk body lotion dengan rentang harga dibawah Rp20.000 dan volume 60-100 mL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh sampel body lotion mengandung metilparaben dengan kadar masing-masing 0,1082 % ; 0,0062% dan 0,0495%. Satu sampel tidak terdeteksi menggunakan metode KLT namun teridentifikasi dengan metode KCKT yang lebih sensitif. Seluruh kadar metilparaben pada sampel memenuhi ketentuan batas maksimum yang ditetapkan BPOM. Body lotion is a cosmetic preparation used to maintain skin moisture and health. Methylparaben is used as a preservative to inhibit the growth of microorganism. According to BPOM Regulation No.23 of 2019, the maximum allowable concentration of metyhlparaben is 0,4% for single use and 0,8% for combined use. Several products do not list the methylparaben content on their packaging labels,making content analysis necessary. This study used Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) for qualitative analysis and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) for quantitative analysis. HPLC method validation showed good results with a linearity of r = 0,9997, accuracy of 101% recovery, precision with 1,41% RSD and specific retention time. Three body lotion products were tested, selected based on prices under IDR 20.000 and volume between 60-100 mL. The results showed that all samples contained methylparaben with concentration of 0,1082% ; 0,0062% and 0,0495%. One samples was not detected by TLC but was identified by the more sensitive HPLC method. All samples met the safety limits set by BPOM.
