Abstract
Zodia (Evodia suaveolens) is a mosquito repellent containing plant compounds linalool and α-pinene as an active ingredient. Zodia price is quite expensive so for the cultivation is done in vitro tissue culture. Tissue growth in vitro is affected by the growing medium and plant growth regulators. The purpose of this study is to get a callus growth leaf zodia good with high levels of linalool from the callus with a concentration of growth regulators the right. Callus was induced in leaves zodia Murashige Skoog half strongly with variations in the concentration of growth regulators BAP 0,5, 1, 1,5 dan 2 μg/ml. The content of linalool and α-pinene isolated by maceration of the leaves callus zodia with 70% ethanol and then fractionated with n-hexane. Results of n-hexane fractionation zodia leaf callus detected using gas chromatography. BAP concentration of the most influential in the growth of leaves zodia callus obtained at a concentration of 1 μg/ml with a success percentage of 80% and linalool content teringgi obtained from leaf callus zodia with a concentration of 1 μg/ml BAP grading 0.0014% and at a concentration of 0.5 and 2μg/ml produce levels of α-pinene highest of 0.027%. Keyword : zodia leaf, Murashige Skoog, Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP), gas cromatography.
