Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a major public health problem because its complications are short-term and long-term. The importance of evaluation to improve the accuracy of drug delivery in patients. This study aims to determine and evaluate the treatment of patients with type II diabetes mellitus with complication of hypertension in karanganyar general hospital in 2016. The samples in this study where patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus with hypertensive complications of 131 patients. This research is non experimental analyzed descriptively retrospective retrieval of the patient’s medical records. The results were compared with the 2015 PERKENI standard. The results showed that 131 patients with type II diabetes mellitus with complications of hypertension in karanganyar general Hospital in 2016 consisted of 47 male patients and 84 female patients, the results of this showed that the antidiabetic drugs used were insulin and oral antihyperglycemia drugs of sulfonylurea group, biguanid. The use of antidiabetic drugs was in accordance with the phonmularium of Karanganyar General Hospital in 2016. The evaluation showed the right patient indication of 99.23%, the exact drug as much as 47.33%, the exact dose 93.13%, and the patient 100% accurate. Keywords: Evaluation, type 2 diabetes mellitus.
